Million Dollar Club

The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is proud to introduce the Million Dollar Club at the 31st Annual National Convention & Business Expo in Dallas, Tex.

On Friday, September 24t at an 8:00 a.m. breakfast, the USHCC will be inducting over 20 top level corporations from across the country into the Million Dollar Club. The Million Dollar Club was created by the USHCC to honor and celebrate the commitment of corporations and their procurement executives who recognize the value of Hispanic Business Enterprises (HBEs). The honorees range from $25 million to over $500 million in spending with Hispanic Suppliers in 2009.

Corporate inductees include: AT&T, Avis Budget Group, Inc., BMW of North America, LLC, City of Dallas, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART)

, Ford Motor Company, Hewlett-Packard Company, IBM Corporation, Johnson & Johnson, JPMorgan Chase & Co, Marriott International, MGM Resorts International, MillerCoors, Oncor Electric Delivery, PepsiCo, Inc., Pfizer Inc., Sempra Energy, Southern California Edison, The Coca-Cola Company, The Kroger Company, Toyota Motor North America, UPS, Verizon Wireless, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Wells Fargo & Company, United States Postal Service

"Our Million Dollar Club inductees have demonstrated an outstanding commitment of integrating Hispanic Business Enterprises (HBEs) into their strategic sourcing and procurement policies. Collectively they have increased opportunities for first- and second-tier suppliers," said Javier Palomarez, USHCC President and CEO.

"We are confident that this recognition program will showcase corporate best practices and draw attention to the importance of supplier diversity as good business. The USHCC encourages other companies to follow suit and realize the opportunity."

The USHCC National Convention & Business Expo, scheduled for Wednesday, September 22nd through Saturday, September 25th, will be the largest gathering of Hispanic business leaders in America. The convention will bring together thousands of Hispanic entrepreneurs, corporate executives, procurement and supplier-diversity professionals from the private and public sectors, as well as Latina leaders and Hispanic Chamber of Commerce leaders from throughout the nation.
